A body has been found in the search for missing Paignton teenager Nathan Wood.
Police divers found the body at around midday today.
Nathan, 16, was last seen in the Swallowfields area of Totnes, at the Dartington Hall end of the River Dart at around 6pm on Friday.
An extensive search involving local officers, with assistance from a dog unit, the police helicopter, police divers, and volunteer search and rescue teams has taken place since Friday evening.
Police have informed Nathan’s family. Formal identification has not taken place.
Inspector Tracy Sharam, based in Torquay, said: “We would like to thank the community in Totnes for their support while the search has been underway for Nathan over the last few days.
“Our thoughts remain with the family at this difficult and upsetting time.”
