Police have advised businesses to be on the look out for fake £20 notes after a number have been used in the Exeter and East Devon area.
Police say that the counterfeit notes have been used to pay for taxis and for payment in shops.
Police state the notes are of poor quality and appear to be colour photocopies.
Anyone who is passed any counterfeit notes is asked to call 999 if the offender/s are still in the area at the time of your call or to call 101 with information quoting CR/15397/18.
