Cat rescued by firefighters in Torquay

A cat was rescued earlier today, Saturday 20th July by firefighters after it became trapped in a walled compound in Queen Street, Ellacombe.

The Fire Service were requested to attend the incident this afternoon by an RSPCA inspector.

One fire engine from Torquay attended at around 1.10pm.

The cat, who was trapped around twenty feet down in a walled area next tona commercial property was rescued unharmed by fire crews using a triple extension ladder.
