A dog was rescued by fire crews after getting stuck down a rabbit hole on Dartmoor this morning, Friday 8th February.

One fire engine from Ashburton was mobilised to the incident.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue service said on their website: “On arrival, the Incident Commander confirmed that a terrier type dog was stuck down a rabbit hole. Crews got to work with shovels and picks to try to locate the dog and requested the assistance of a 4 x 4 vehicle from Bovey Tracey and a snake eye camera which was sent from Newton Abbott.
