A man has been arrested following an incident involving a hammer in the Willows area of Torquay earlier today, 17th April.
Police from across South Devon and the police helicopter were involved in the search.
The man was also a suspect for a stabbing in Torquay.
He was located in Newton Abbot.
A spokesperson person for Kingsbridge Police said on Facebook :
“Kingsbridge Police, along with other Officers from across the South Hams, Teignbridge, and Torbay this afternoon attended an area close to The Willows, Torquay to search for a male suspect who had just attacked someone with a hammer. He was believed to be in possession of knives and also a suspect for a stabbing last night in Torquay.
“The male was later located and arrested at an address in Newton Abbot and is now in Custody at Torquay Police Station,”
