A woman who was the victim of an attempted handbag snatch has returned home from hospital.
The Woman in her 50’s was attacked whilst walking along Old Teignmouth Road on Sunday Morning.
The woman’s son John Bradbury contacted Spotted Torquay with an update after they posted his appeal for information:
“I would just like to say thank you for everyone’s support regards to my mums mugging on Sunday, shes out of hospital with a broken pelvis and a fracture to her spine but doesn’t need an operation unless there’s no sign of recovery within 3 weeks but is fine within herself so good news as it could of been worse. I am waiting to see if there are any developments from the police but won’t know until Thursday. (Jill) can’t believe all the support given from everyone on facebook, twitter and the nurses at the hospital and is forever thankful to you all.”
Well wished to Jill from all at We Are South Devon.
The male, who was riding a push bike, is also believed to have snatched a woman’s handbag just minutes later on Upton Road.
Anyone with information can call the police on 101.
