It was a busy night for the The National Police Air Service’s (NPAS) Exeter based helicopter last night with a search in Newton Abbot, followed by two in Torquay.
NPAS Exeter first assisted with a search for a missing person in Newton Abbot, which was able to cover a large area of open space to free officers on the ground (No update on missing person as yet)

NPAS Exeter then assisted police with a search for a man with a knife in Torquay (No update as yet)

Followed by a burglary in the Chelston area in Torquay. Police on the ground also searched the are neat the train station.
There have been reports locally of more than one burglarly in the area. Enquiries continue.
