Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was injured in an alleged bottle attack in Plymouth during the early hours of Friday morning.
Devon & Cornwall Police were called to Basket Ope at around 1.20am on Friday 31 July following reports that a man had been struck on the back of the head with a glass bottle.
The victim, a local man in his 40s, sustained a head injury and was taken to Derriford Hospital for treatment. Police said his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A scene guard was put in place while officers carried out an examination of the area.
A 54-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He has since been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.
Officers are now appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have information that could assist the investigation, to come forward.
