Update: The road is now open and clear.
2 fire appliances from Totnes were mobilised to the incident after reports that someone was trapped and unable to get out. However, shortly after arriving, crews confirmed that all persons were free and clear of all the vehicles, so they were only required to make them safe.
There were no reported injuries.

Emergency services are currently on the scene of an accident on the A381.

The Road is closed at Halwell (Totnes cross) due to a three vehicle collision near the petrol station.

Police are warning of slippery road surfaces on approach.

We shall continue to update as information becomes available.
