There are 40 stalls lined up for this year’s event showcasing a range of local gifts, crafts and art, as well as delicious local food and drinks. The on-site Seven Dials Café will also be open and serving food and drinks all day.

Back by popular demand, a traditional apple press will once again be on the front lawn, where demonstrators will be turning apples into juice and describing how to transform the juice into delicious homemade scrumpy. Visitors can also bring their own apples for pressing, for a small donation.

Councillor Jacqueline Thomas, Cabinet Member for Tourism, Culture and Events at Torbay Council, shared her excitement: “We are delighted that Apple Day is back again this year. With so many stalls for people to explore, and lots of entertainment and activities planned, it really will be a wonderful way for people of all ages to celebrate autumn. It is free to attend and everyone is welcome, so do come along and enjoy everything that Apple Day, and Cockington Court, has to offer!”

The event is open from 11am to 4pm on Sunday 12 October. More information about Apple Day is available on the Cockington Court website: https://cockingtoncourt.org/events/cockington-apple-day-2025/

Parking at Cockington Court is limited so visitors are encouraged to carshare or travel to the event via public transport. The number 62 bus will be running on the day of the event.

Alongside Apple Day activities, resident Cockington Court makers will be showcasing their creative skills in their studios, providing visitors with the opportunity to learn about their craft and purchase their creations. There is more information on the Cockington Court website: https://cockingtoncourt.org/our-creative-makers/.

Visitors can also explore the free, prehistoric-themed Sculpture Trail which runs until Sunday 2 November. The trail features over 30 different sculptures located around the Manor House and grounds.
