As part of their investigation, police are keen to speak to a female witness who was in the area at the time and may have information to assist enquiries. She is believed to have blonde or light-coloured hair and was wearing a white coat.

Anyone who believes they may be this witness, or who has information that could help police, is asked to contact officers via 101, quoting reference number 50260010278.

A 33-year-old man from Plymouth was arrested on suspicion of assault and has since been released on police bail while further enquiries continue.
