Devon & Cornwall Police are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage following a fatal road traffic collision on the road between Buckfastleigh and Ashburton.

Officers were called at 3.45pm on Tuesday 27 January after a report of a single-vehicle collision on the unnamed road just prior to Gages Farm. A green Subaru Legacy Outback was found in a field adjacent to the road. Sadly, the driver of the vehicle, believed to be a local man in his 30s, was declared deceased at the scene.

Roads Policing Officers and local officers attended and carried out a thorough investigation. The road was closed for several hours while enquiries took place, and police have thanked members of the public for their understanding and patience.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who saw a green Subaru Legacy Outback in the area before the collision, or in the days prior to it. Officers are particularly interested in any relevant dash-cam, CCTV or doorbell footage.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Devon & Cornwall Police on 101 or via the police website, quoting log 555 of 27 January.
