Black Sheep Coffee opens first Plymouth store with £1 coffees on launch day

The new coffee shop opens on Tuesday 15 September at 15-19 Old Town Street, Plymouth, with customers being offered £1 coffees throughout launch day.

The first 100 customers will also receive a free Black Sheep Coffee tote bag.

The Plymouth store will have 152 seats, including upstairs seating, and is being aimed at local residents, students and people looking for somewhere to work or study.

A second South West store is due to open in Exeter later this month, at 26 High Street, on Thursday 24 September.

Both locations will offer the company’s full food and drink menu, including its speciality-grade Robusta coffee, matcha, Norwegian waffles, all-day breakfast and bakery items.

Students will also be able to access a UNiDAYS offer providing eligible customers with 20% off the menu, as well as selected hot or iced drinks for £2 on Mondays.

The franchisees behind the new stores said: “We’re excited to bring Black Sheep Coffee to Plymouth and Exeter for the first time. Both cities have vibrant communities and strong student populations, making them fantastic locations for our next stores.

“We want to create spaces where people can enjoy great coffee, whether they’re stopping in for a quick drink or spending a few hours studying, working or catching up with friends.

“Opening with £1 coffees and free tote bags is our way of welcoming the local communities and giving customers a chance to experience what Black Sheep Coffee is all about. We’re looking forward to opening our doors and becoming part of both cities.”

The Exeter store, which will have 124 seats, will also offer £1 coffees on its opening day, with free tote bags for its first 100 customers.

Jon Walton, Princesshay Centre Manager, said: “The Black Sheep Coffee opening comes off the back of a flurry of new arrivals at Princesshay and adds another exciting destination for our visitors to enjoy.

“Known for its quality coffee and menu, Black Sheep Coffee is a fantastic addition to the centre, and we look forward to welcoming the team to Princesshay.”

The two openings form part of Black Sheep Coffee’s ongoing expansion across the UK.
