Boy taken to hospital after being hit by car

RTC between Totnes and Avonwick

Update: The boy suffered from a broken shoulder, cuts and bruises and is currently in Torbay hospital.
We wish him a speedy recovery!

A boy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Cricketfield Road,  Torquay this afternoon.

Emergency services was called to Cricketfield Road just after 4pm.

People at the scene have said the boy was concious.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance.

The road is still closed and police remain at the scene.
