Stagecoach have announced that they will be increasing their prices from 28th April this year by 2.6%

Their website stated:
“Due to rising costs and reduced public sector investment we will be revising the prices of our single, return, day and season tickets by as an average of 2.6%…”

They have reduced the price of the Torbay dayrider to £4.90.

We went out and about to see what you think of the price rise.

“Well, that’s the first I have heard of it” Said Joan from Brixham, “I get my free bus pass soon, I am glad because the price of everything just keeps going up!”

Dave from Torquay said “My car is off the road, I dont usually get the bus but it is high enough as it is. The price is ridiculous!”

Cameron from Torquay stated “People won’t bother coming into town, the bus price is already too high. There’s no free parking for car drivers.  Stay at home, use the internet”

And Lucy from Paignton added
“2.6%? You will barely notice, what is the issue?”
