Car fire at holiday park believed to be arson

The fire service were called to Ladys mile holiday Park, Exeter Road Dawlish at 3.14am this morning (1 June)

A Fire Engine from Dawlish was sent to the incident. On arrival the crew confirmed that the car was well alight along with approximately 10 feet of fence panel.  They got to work fighting the fire using 2 sets of breathing apparatus and 2 hose reel jets.

The car was extinguished using the above equipment but was severely damaged by fire.

Police also attended as it was believed to have been ‘deliberate ignition’.
