Car fire at petrol station – Update

2 fire appliances from Newton Abbot attended reports of a vehicle fire at Trago Mills Petrol station at approximately 12.30 today (6 May)

The vehicle had been pushed off of the forecourt before fire service arrived.

On arrival, crews found the vehicle to be well alight, crews extinguished the fire using 2 breathing apparatus wearers, 2 hose reel jets and 4 dry powder extinguishers.

The engine compartment of the vehicle was severely damaged by fire and the cause was accidental.

The petrol forecourt was not involved in any fire.
