Car severely damaged by fire in Babbacombe, Torquay

Fire crews responded to reports of a car fire in Babbacombe, Torquay just after midday today (9 September)

One fire appliance from Torquay was mobilised to the incident.

The fire service said:
“On their arrival crews confirmed one vehicle fire and went to work with one Hose Reel and two Breathing Apparatus Wearers to extinguish the fire and make the vehicle safe.

“The car was severely damaged by fire and there was also heat and smoke damage to refuse bins and one caravan.”

Crews made the vehicle and scene safe.
