Car severely damaged in arson attack

The fire service were called to a car fire in Newton Abbot last night at 22:16

One fire engine from Newton Abbot was mobilised to the incident on Exeter Road.

The fire service said:
“On arrival the crews confirmed that this was a vehicle well alight and got to work fighting the fire.

“The vehicle was extinguished using 2 sets of breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet. 

“The car was severely damaged by fire and duty of care of the incident was left in the hands of the Police who also attended.”

The cause of the fire was deliberate.
