The achievements of Torbay and South Devon’s NHS and social care teams will be celebrated at an annual awards event in spring thanks to the generosity of local businesses.
Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is proud to announce more companies have agreed to support its third annual Our People Awards celebration event at the Imperial Hotel Torquay in May 2025.
Hulley and Kirkwood Consulting Engineers, Services Design Solution and Wandsworth Healthcare have kindly agreed to sponsor the event as gold sponsors.
The event celebrates the achievements of NHS employees who have gone above and beyond to provide compassionate care, supported their colleagues, or improved services for people in Torbay and South Devon.
Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is welcoming Services Design Solution (SDS), a sustainability and building services engineering consultancy back as a corporate sponsor for the third year. SDS has played a role in the development of NHS facilities, regularly supporting those who use Torbay Hospital. Their regular donations include art activity kits and book advent calendars to those staying on the Louisa-Cary Ward, to make the children’s stays more special at important times of the year.

Hulley and Kirkwood Consulting Engineers, a leading independent building services consultancy, is joining the event as gold sponsors for the first time. Hulley and Kirkwood is proud of its enduring partnership with Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, having delivered numerous projects to enhance its facilities. These include projects such as operating theatre refurbishments, critical and general air handling replacements across the site, chilled water and heating network reinforcement with improved resilience. Through their expertise, they have supported the creation of efficient, sustainable healthcare environments that prioritise patient care and staff wellbeing.

Wandsworth Healthcare design, develop and install unique, adaptable nurse call systems that improve healthcare operations and patient experience. In the last two years alone, Wandsworth Healthcare have supported the Torbay and South Devon Foundation Trust with over 70 nurse call placement schemes, ranging from small departments to the larger areas, including the new Day Surgery, Emergency Assessment Unit (EAU), and Women’s Health Unit.

This year’s annual event will take place on 22 May at The Imperial Hotel in Torquay and anyone who has received an Our People Award or another award or recognition during the previous 12 months is invited to attend.
