Visionary directors have their eyes on a bright future after taking the reins at two established Torquay stores.

Craig Lewis and Hannah Hambly-Brooks have taken charge at the Specsavers store in Union Street and the one at the Willows, with the aim of building on the previous years of caring for the community.

Hannah was a dispensing optician of 13 years’experience with Specsavers before becoming store manager of the Torquay Willows store.

Craig was the lead optometrist for both stores, with 20 years of optical experience at Specsavers.

Hannah said: ‘We’re really excited about the future ofthese two stores. We want to maintain and build on therecent years of growth here, demonstrating our desire to bring the best possible service for the people of South Devon.

‘As locally owned and run stores, we are really looking forward to being a key part of Torquay’s forward-looking community.’

In taking up directorships at the two Torquay stores, Hannah and Craig have joined the stores’ long-standing retail director, Gordon Graham, who has 10 years’ experience in the role.

Both Specsavers Torquay stores offer eye health services and hearing services. In recent years the stores have invested in the careers of local staff, state-of-the-art technology, and served emergency customers throughout the pandemic.

Craig added: ‘We hope it will make the customer experience even more integrated, bringing real benefits to everyone who comes through our door.

‘By combining the latest eye care, hearing care and retail technology, our highly professional and ultra-modern service will enable us to further reduce waiting times, which will help customers old and new.’
