A Closure Notice has been served today (Monday 3rd November) on a’ legal high shop’ in Exeter.
The closure notice was served on The Wicked Head High Shop, located in South Street, Exeter under Section 76 of The Anti-social Behaviour, Crime & Policing Act 2014, new legislation which came into effect on 20th October.
This follows complaints over a sustained period regarding anti-social behaviour, nuisance and disorder by clients attending the premises.
This is thought to be the first time this particular legislation has been implemented against a legal high shop in the Country.
Following the serving of the notice a hearing will be held at Exeter Magistrates’ Court at 3.30pm on Tuesday 4th November when an application will be made for a full closure order.
