South Hams District Council is inviting people interested in a rewarding career in waste and recycling to attend a special recruitment open day at its Bridge Court depot in Ivybridge.
The event will provide jobhunters with a unique opportunity to go behind the scenes of the council’s waste and recycling service and learn more about the vital role it plays in keeping the South Hams clean and sustainable.
The Council is currently recruiting for a range of operational roles, including:
-Loaders
-7.5-tonne Drivers
-Class C Drivers
Visitors will be able to tour the depot, meet members of the waste and recycling team, and gain first-hand insight into the day-to-day workings of the service.
Job interviews will be available on the day for suitable candidates. Successful applicants could even receive a job offer before they leave.
Anyone interested in attending is encouraged to bring identification and an up-to-date CV to support their application.
The open day will take place on Wednesday 12 August from 9.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Bridge Court, Ivybridge, PL21 9EY.
