The Devon County Show is offering a full refund to everyone who bought tickets in advance for Saturday.
The 3 day event cancelled the third and final day due to health and safety reasons. It was cancelled for the first time in the shows 119 year history.
DCAA Chairman of the Board of Management, John Maunder, said: “Whilst the abandonment of the Show was forced on us by the extreme weather conditions, and will have a significant financial impact, we want to do right for our paying visitors.
“Without their support we would not have a Devon County Show, and the Board felt that we should stand by them, just as I hope that they will stand by us”
The Devon county agricultural association said it will be adding a form to the website www.devoncountyshow.co.uk
by Wednesday explaining how refunds for unused tickets could be claimed.
Applications should be made by Monday, June 30, at the latest. Refunds will be made by the end of July.
