Driver released on bail after A38 death

A lorry driver who was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving following a fatal collision on the A38 has been released on bail.

A cyclist died following a collision with a lorry on the A38 on the Exeter bound carriageway at 10.53am on Friday 5th September

The cyclist was treated at the scene before being airlifted to Derriford Hospital with serious injuries but sadly died.

The A38 Exeter bound was closed for a number of hours whilst investigations into the incident were carried out by officers from the Serious Collisions investigation Unit.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to contact them on 101 quoting police reference 0252 05914.
