Early morning car fire at Dawlish holiday park

Road closed after cladding fell from roof

The Fire Service were called to a car on fire in Dawlish in the early hours of this morning (11 August)

One fire appliance from Dawlish was mobilised to a holiday park in Dawlish at 00:50 after reports of a car on fire

The fire service said
“On arrival crews used rapid deployment to get to work on attacking the fire but no further appliances were required. The car was severely damaged by fire in the caravan park, crews used two breathing apparatus sets and two hose reel jets.”

No other vehicles were damaged during this incident.
