Early morning fire at Torquay property

Woman taken to hospital by air ambulance after Dawlish crash

The fire service were called to a property on Barton Hill Road, Torquay just after 3am this morning.

Two fire appliances from Torquay were mobilised to the incident.

There was a small fire in the kitchen, crews got to work extinguishing using two breathing apparatus, one dry powder extinguisher and one safety jet.  followed by a positive pressure fan.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
