Woman taken to hospital by air ambulance after Dawlish crash

Emergency services were called to the scene of an accident Totnes Road, Ogwell, Newton Abbot at 15:15
this afternoon.

Two Fire Engines from Newton Abbot attended the accident, where it was reported someone was trapped.

On arrival the crew confirmed that this was a two vehicle road traffic collision involving light vehicles with an elderly female trapped within one of the vehicles due to her injuries.

The crew released the female using hydraulic cutting equipment.

The lady was then conveyed to hospital via land ambulance.
