Devon based Commercial Property Consultants, Bettesworths, announce the acquisition on behalf of clients, of Unit C Silverton Road, Matford, Exeter.
The former Tufnells distribution unit closed in 2023 and had been marketed, initially To Let by JLL, when Bettesworths acquired the freehold of the site at an undisclosed figure for retained clients, Inter-line Building Supplies Ltd.
Built in the mid-1990’s, the property measures just over 2,000m2 (approx. 22,500 sq ft) on a site of approximately 1.86 acres.
The new branch will provide Inter-line with a new and much improved Exeter branch, with trade counter, administration offices and huge stock yard space in a prominent, convenient and accessible location.
The Inter-Line acquisition was led by Paul Bettesworth, with legal advice from Matt Bryant of Kitson Boyce and supported by finance from Nat West.
Paul Bettesworth commented; “This is an excellent outcome for Inter-line. We have been looking for appropriate freehold space in Exeter for some time. The purchase of the Silverton Road premise will allow for a positive relocation – a new branch that will be far more convenient for customers and allow a wider range of product and delivery.”
