Floral tributes at Ilsham Marine Drive

The family of teenager Tom Rendle, who died following a cliff fall in Torquay, have paid tribute to him

Tom Rendle, 17, is believed to have fallen from a cliff in the Ilsham Marine Drive area onto rocks shortly before 2.30pm on Friday (19 September)
Ambulance, police, coastguard and lifeboat staff attended the scene.
Tom was rescued and taken by lifeboat to the harbour, before being taken by ambulance to Torbay District Hospital with a severe head injury, spinal and leg injuries.

Tom was later taken to Derriford hospital where he sadly passed away on Saturday 20 September due to injuries sustained during the fall.

His family have paid tribute to him: “Our son Tom lived life to the full and was a cheeky chappy. He will be missed by all of his family and friends.”
The police have said that the death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file is due to be submitted to the coroner.
