Emergency services were called to Badgers Holt on Dartmoor this afternoon (17 August) to assist in a water rescue.
Two appliances from Princetown and Yelverton and the specialist rescue team from Camels Head were mobilised to the incident.
The fire service stated
“On arrival crews discovered one male casualty approximately three metres from the edge of the river”
The Ambulance service were also in attendance.
Crews rescued the casualty using life jackets and assisted the Ambulance service in administering first aid.
