If you were running around this morning preparing for your little ones first day at school, spare a thought for Dawn and Skye who had 3 to get ready for their first day.

Triplets Reuben, Romeo and Rafal turned 5 yesterday and started school today.

The boys who live in Torquay were born at just 27 weeks weighing just 1lb 15oz, 2lb 4oz and 2lb 5oz. They spent over 3 months in Southmead hospital, Bristol with Rafal coming home first on 12th December followed by Romeo and Reuben who went home 2 days before Christmas in 2009.

They have all made amazing progress during their first 5 years and are bright, active and out-going boys.

All 3 have been looking forward to going to school but when the day arrived Rafal said:
“I don’t want to go to school” when asked why, he replied “I don’t want to be big”
Hopefully he will have changed his mind by the time he comes home.

Skye told us “The boys will be in different classes, this is so they can learn and grow individually. This must be daunting for them as they have always been together”

They went off into school after lots of love, hugs and with their parents wishing them good luck.

Dawn said “it’s very hard work having triplets, but I wouldn’t have it any other way”
