Set beneath a sparkling canopy of lights, the real ice rink offers an unforgettable winter wonderland atmosphere – and the best part? It’s open whatever the weather! From Saturday 6 December to Friday 2 January, visitors can enjoy hourly sessions for up to 80 skaters, making this the ultimate seasonal attraction.

Why you won’t want to miss it:

§  Daily sessions (except Christmas Day) from morning till evening.

§  Family-friendly fun – children aged 5+ can join general sessions.

§  Special Parent & Toddler Fridays (11am–1pm) for little ones under 5.

§  Inclusive pricing – registered carers receive 50% off their ticket when accompanying the person they care for.

Cllr Jackie Thomas, Cabinet Member for Events, Tourism, Culture and Corporate Services at Torbay Council, said; “This marks the first time in years that Torquay will host a real ice rink, and we couldn’t be more excited. We know many people still fondly remember when ice skating was a regular feature in the Bay, and we hope those cherished memories inspire families to come together and experience the magic once again. With the rink nestled under a sparkling canopy as part of the Bay of Lights, this is going to be an experience people will talk about for years to come.”

The ice-rink is in Abbey Park, Torbay Road, Torquay, TQ2 5DG on Torquay seafront.

Opening hours are:

6 – 19 December

§  Monday-Thursday 4pm-9pm

§  Friday – 2pm-9pm

§  Saturday and Sunday 11am-9pm

§  Parent and Toddler Sessions – Friday only 11-12pm or 12-1pm
