The scheme supports local hospice, Rowcroft with 50p from each card purchased going to the charity.
Rowcroft Hospice in Torquay serves the people of South Devon by providing specialist care to patients with progressive, life limiting illnesses.
So, not only can the card save you money – it supports a local charity. A big thumbs up from us!

Great idea… great for both businesses and locals!
Yes just a shame it wasn’t initially theirs and that they are going to be encouraging people to shop out of the Bay also. You can’t have a local Scheme and then offer discounts in other areas with the same card. Takes Trade out of the Bay. I might be involved in the Original Scheme but i am also passionate about the Bay and Schemes like this only serve to line someones pocket, not help the local Community!!
Thank you for your support. We’ve worked really hard to get the public supporting local businesses (despite what Suzannah says) and we are now working very closely with tourist boards to attract visitors from further afield into using our local community facilities. The four main libraries, the English Riviera Visitor Centre, and the Torbay Bookshop are all now stocking and selling our Saver cards with more outlets coming on board. We have a smartphone App that’s nearly finished and lots of other incentives coming online over the next few weeks. We are here to stay and we also have an agreement with Rowcroft to donate 50p from every card sold to their wonderful charity. Thanks again, much appreciated.
Speaking on behalf of the Torbay Discount Card – we welcome the challenge… and are certainly developing various “incentives” behind closed doors for the Torbay Community … :).. We wish you Luck.
