Horse stuck in the mud rescued by fire crews

The fire service were called to a horse stuck in mud in Stokeinteignhead this afternoon.

A call was received from the owner of horse just before 3pm requesting assistance to their horse which was stuck in the mud in Rocombe, Stoketeignhead.

1 fire appliance from Torquay and the Specialist Rescue Team from Service Headquarters were mobilised to the incident.

The horse was released from the mud by crews using mud mats and strops.

The horse was uninjured

Duty of care was left with the owner.
