Fire crews confirmed a fire involving sundries in a store cupboard within the first floor corridor of the Howden Court hotel.

The fire was extinguished by fire crews using two breathing apparatus wearers, one hose reel jet, one carbon dioxide extinguisher, lighting, a thermal image camera and small tools to cut away hot spots.

Fire crews ventilated the property using a positive pressure ventilation fan.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Fire Service and Police.
