Community business support organisation, Local Spark Torbay, torches a trail for community-powered change with the 5th Torbay Local Entrepreneur Forum & Community of Dragons – a spirited, inclusive pitching event uniting local visionaries and supporters to build a healthier, more equitable economy in Torbay.

Hosted at Parkfield House in Paignton, this free-to-join gathering runs 12:30 pm–3:30 pm on Saturday, March 14 and brings together entrepreneurs, changemakers, community members and friendly “Dragons” – local residents ready to invest time, passion, expertise, and resources into ideas that strengthen the social and economic fabric of the Bay.

“How do we create new livelihoods and make life better in Torbay?” is the question at the heart of this event – and the answer comes from the people themselves, pitching green, ethical, and community-rooted projects to a crowd that believes in collaboration and collective impact.

What to Expect:
12:30 pm: Food & Networking: Kick off with delicious food and energising conversations with neighbours, local business owners, and supporters.
1:30 pm: Inspiring Speakers: Hear from trailblazers driving positive change across Torbay and beyond.
2:00 pm: Pitching: Three to four selected entrepreneurs pitch ideas to the Community of Dragons – gaining not just attention, but meaningful support.
3:30 pm: Closing: Celebrate community ingenuity and set the stage for what’s next.

Projects are selected based on ethical values, sustainability, local impact, and potential to grow – with one slot specifically reserved for youth-led enterprise. Whether the support comes in the form of mentorship, introductions, in-kind contributions, or funding, every “investment” fuels Torbay’s collective momentum.

This event isn’t just about pitching – it’s a lively, encouraging space where nurturing relationships and sparking possibilities take centre stage, living up to Local Spark’s mission of building a healthy, inclusive local economy for everyone across the Bay.
