A man was airlifted to Derriford hospital after an incident in Dawlish this afternoon.
A cherry picker overturned at around 1pm trapping the male occupant inside.
Police closed the road whilst emergency services dealt with the incident on Church Street.

One man was airlifted to hospital via police helicopter with a Doctor and a medic aboard. He was taken to Derriford major trauma centre.
The fire service said:
Fire appliances from Dawlish and Teignmouth formed the initial attendance to this incident and they were supported by several heavy rescue specialist appliances from Middlemoor and Exeter urban search and rescue. Several DSFRS Officers also attended.
One male was eventually released from the cage with leg injuries using hydraulic cutting and lifting equipment and small tools. This cage had been at full height when the vehicle overturned (34 metres height)
Church Street is now open.
