A man has been charged following an attempted robbery at a Post Office in Torquay earlier this week.
Police were called to Chelston Post Office on Walnut Road at around 7.40am on Wednesday, 11 June, after receiving reports of an attempted robbery at the premises.
Leon Hippolyte, 38, of Rathmore Road, Torquay, has been charged with attempted robbery and possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Plymouth Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday 12 June.
