Man suffers fractured skull in Torquay attack

Man taken to hospital following harbourside attack

A Torquay man was seriously injured following a serious attack in Torquay in the early hours of Sunday morning (28 September)

The attack happened along Victoria Parade in Torquay just after midnight.

The 35 year old man is said to have been attacked from behind and received a blow to the back of the head, he then fell and hit his head on the ground.

Witnesses describe the man being ‘out cold’

Emergency services arrived on scene and Police closed the road.

The man was taken to hospital with a fractured skull and is now recovering at home.

His family thank people that assisted him and for the messages they have received since.
