Man taken to hospital following collision with a wall

Update: Man airlifted to hospital from Hopes Nose, Torquay

Emergency were services called to an accident in Dartmouth this morning.

The accident happened around 9.30am on Britannia Avenue.

Two fire engines from Dartmouth station were both mobilised to the incident after reports of a person being trapped within the vehicle.

On arrival, crews found one small vehicle in a collision with a wall with one casualty unconscious.

Fire crews released the casualty from the vehicle and then casualty was taken to the hospital via Ambulance crews.

The condition of the man is not currently known.

We will update as information becomes available.
