Man taken to hospital after attack in Torquay

A man in his 60’s was taken to Torbay hospital after being attacked in Torquay early this morning (10 August)

The man was was attacked in Sherwell Lane, Chelston just after midnight.

He had apparently asked a group of youths to quiten down and go home after they had left a party in the area.

He was knocked to the floor. Police say he suffered minor injuries.

One youth is currently in police custody awaiting interview.
