Emergency services were called to Brixham last night after a man was allegedly thrown into the harbour just after 7pm.
Members of the public assisted the man, apparently a council worker (Tor2) out of the water.
Berryhead coastguard attended the incident. They have said the man was warmed up, given a change of clothing and required no further care.
Police are investigating the incident.
