Food enthusiasts are set for an exciting culinary experience as MasterChef star Charlie Walters joins the line-up for this year’s Flavour Fest Food Festival, hosted across the May Bank Holiday weekend in Plymouth.

Since appearing on the show, Charlie has continued to inspire food lovers with his modern approach to cooking and passion for high-quality ingredients, opening his first venue Narla in South Cornwall and gaining recognition in the Michelin Guide.

This May bank holiday, MasterChef: The Professionals star Charlie Walters will be showcasing his culinary prowess at the South West’s largest free food festival. At just 25 years old, Charlie is a regular feature in the region’s various food and drink festivals, sharing tips from his award winning fine dining restaurant.

At Flavour Fest, Charlie will present live cooking demonstrations, sharing practical tips and professional techniques. Festival-goers will also have the opportunity to see Charlie showcase and hear firsthand about his experiences on MasterChef and his culinary journey, including opening his first venue in South Cornwall’s Fowey.

Charlie commented, “I’m absolutely delighted to be part of Flavour Fest. Food festivals are a brilliant way to bring people together, and there’s nothing better than sharing great food with passionate home cooks and fellow food lovers from around the South West.

Charlie added, “MasterChef was an incredible experience that challenged me in so many ways and gave me a taste of what it is like to cook in front of a crowd. When I am showcasing in one of the region’s food festivals, a piece of me is taken back to cooking for the judges, and I always enjoy that thrill when I am showcasing.

“Whether you are a fine dining chef or a home cook, great cooking doesn’t have to be complicated, it’s about using quality local ingredients, understanding a few key techniques, and most importantly, enjoying the process.”

“Flavour Fest is exactly the kind of event I love, celebrating fantastic produce, talented chefs, and the incredible community that forms around food. I can’t wait to meet everyone and be part of such a special event.”

Held over the May Bank Holiday, Flavour Fest Food Festival is a celebration of outstanding food and drink, featuring live chef demonstrations, artisan producers, street food vendors, and family-friendly entertainment. Charlie Walters will be showcasing at the festival on Saturday 30th of May at 1pm.

Narla is situated in the beautiful port town of Fowey and is open for lunch and dinner, including the special Sunday Roast menu and an early dining menu each night, Thursday to Monday. Please see the website to book and review the latest menus.
