‘Phone home Rose’ was the Sandman’s message in Torquay today, 25th February.

Geoffrey Ward, known as the ‘sandman’, wrote the message on Torre Abbey Sands.

The full message said:

PHONE HOME ROSE.
We pay film stars top wages to entertain but the doctors we let be over worked, over stressed – And our lives in their hands

Junior doctor Rose Polge, 25 has been missing since Friday, 12th February. Rose’s car was found in Ansteys Cove car park in Torquay. Despite a major search of the area, which involved Police, search and rescue teams, coastguards and divers, Rose has not been found.

Rose is a doctor at Torbay hospital. It is thought she left her shift ‘stressed’ on the Friday she went missing.

Rose is describes as white, 5 feet 2 inches tall with brown eyes, and long black hair either worn down or in a pony tail.
