Millie's Trust first aid course to be held in Torquay

Millie’s Trust has was established by Joanne and Dan Thompson following the loss of their daughter Millie in a choking incident at nursery in October 2012.

It was only Millies third day at the nursery, when she choked on her lunch.

Joanne and Dan are now campaigning to have it made law that everyone working in a nursery must be trained in Paediatric First Aid.

Millie Trust also provide first aid training. They want to make first aid training accessible and affordable.

Millie’s Trust have a numbers of trainers across the country including Joanne and Dan themselves and they’re South West trainer is Kidz First Aid.

Kidz First Aid was set up by Katie Finn, a Paediatric Nurse, with over 13 years experience of working in Paediatric Accident and Emergency settings. Katie also has specialist training in Paediatric Burns and Child Protection and is qualified to teach Adult Learners. She brings this wealth of knowledge and experience to every class she teaches.

There is a family first aid course being held on Wednesday 21st May 2014 in Torquay.

It will be held at the Red House Hotel, Rousdown Road, Chelston from 10am-4pm. Places are still available but must be booked.
