Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died in a collision involving a Morrisons van in Exeter.
Emergency services were called to Pennsylvania Road, at the junction with Stoke Valley Road, at around 5.10pm on Sunday, 5 July, following reports of a collision involving a Morrisons Mercedes Sprinter van and a green Kawasaki ZR900 motorcycle.
The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 30s from the local area, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Devon & Cornwall Police said the man’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The driver of the van was not injured and remained at the scene.
The road was closed while officers from the Roads Policing Team carried out an investigation, with police thanking motorists and local residents for their patience during the closure.
An investigation into the circumstances of the collision is ongoing, and officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant dash-cam footage to come forward.
