A man in his 20s has died following a serious three-vehicle collision on the A38 near Lee Mill.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 10am on Thursday 6 August following reports of a collision involving a motorcycle, a Ford Transit camper and an MG HS Trophy.
Despite the efforts of emergency responders, the motorcyclist, who was from Plymouth, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
The A38 remained closed for several hours while officers from the Roads Policing Team carried out a detailed investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
Devon & Cornwall Police thanked motorists for their patience during the road closure, which was necessary to allow forensic examinations of the scene to take place safely.
Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
Investigators are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw the vehicles involved before the collision or who may have captured footage that could assist enquiries.
