It has been announced that there will be a new helipad at Derriford hospital in Plymouth
It will be just up the hill from the current landing site, which is a small patch of grass.
Search and rescue helicopters currently have to land at Marjons and the casualty has to be transferred via land ambulance.
The new helipad will allow air ambulances and search and rescue helicopters to land quickly and safely.
