The sun shone on the Westcountry course for its finale on Friday 10th October, with the richest race on the card valued at £30,000, the top jockeys, trainers & horses came out. AP McCoy was imortalised in bronze as he unveiled a bust dedicated to him in recognition of him winning more races at Newton Abbot than anywhere else.
